The film follows an archeologist Marija Gimbutas from her discovery of female-shaped Paleolithic figurines and Goddess theory proposal that stirred up academia and society-at-large, to the impact of those findings today. Through archival footage, meetings with Goddess’ worshippers, and exploration of Marija’s legacy 30 years later, the documentary wonders how could we change the present by re-interpreting the past.
