Moonmakers is an award-winning film production company based in Vilnius, Lithuania.

Founded in 2014, by a film director and producer Giedrė Žickytė, Moonmakers is exploring unique human stories through the compelling power of cinema. Moonmakers work with both new and established talents, creating space for their creative vision. Today, the company collaborates with major national and international funding institutions, film festivals, broadcasters, co-producers, markets, and sales agents.

Giedrė Žickytė is an EFA (European Film Academy) nominated film director and producer based in Vilnius, Lithuania, and the founder of the production company MOONMAKERS. Giedrė graduated with a Master’s degree in Visual Arts from Vilnius Art Academy in 2007 and since 2010 started working in the international field of documentary cinema.

Her latest film THE JUMP (Lithuania, France, Latvia) won Best Documentary Feature Award at Warsaw Film Festival 2020, Grand Prix at EIDF (South Korea), Main Jury Award at Salem Film Festival 2021 (USA), Hertz Frank Best Director Award at Artdocfest Riga, three Audience Awards at Docville FF (Belgium), SFF (USA) and Port Jefferson Documentary Series (USA), as well as Top 10 Audience pick at DOC NYC. In 2015, her feature documentary MASTER AND TATYANA was awarded Best Director, Best Documentary, Best Cinematography, and Best Editing at the Lithuanian Film Academy Awards. I’M NOT FROM HERE (co-directed with M.Alberdi, Chile) was nominated at the 2016 European Film Academy Awards and won over dozen awards, including Sesterce d’or Fondation Goblet at Visions du Reel. Giedre produced THE EARTH IS BLUE AS AN ORANGE by Iryna Tsilyk (Sundance 2020 World Documentary Competition Best Directing Award, and more than 20 awards including the Best Cinematography Award at IDA).

Giedre is a member of the European Film Academy, Lithuanian Filmmakers Union, alumni of Berlinale Talent Campus, Sources2, CPH:DOX LAB, EURODOC and dok.incubator.




Andrėja Čebatavičiūtė is a Lithuanian film producer, managing director at the film production company Moonmakers. After graduating with a BA in Film Producing at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, Andrėja has been working on various documentary projects as both producer and production manager.

Andrėja produced the short documentary ONE LIFE (dir. Marija Stonytė) that won Best Short Film Award at the European Film Forum Scanorama and received Special Jury mention at Vilnius Short Film Festival and Artdocfest/Riga. The film was nominated for the Best Short Film nomination at both Lithuanian National Film Awards and Lithuanian Silver Crane Awards. Her most recent credit is an associate producer of the documentary THE EARTH IS BLUE AS AN ORANGE by Iryna Tsilyk. In 2020, the film premiered at Sundance World Documentary Competition and received the Best Directing Award. The documentary won more than 20 awards globally including the Best Cinematography award at International Documentary Association Awards (USA).
